biography

Andrea Altemüller was born in Stuttgart, Germany and studied photography and graphic design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria from 1988 until 1995 where she lives again since 2017.

Since 1995 she works as a professional photographer always following her personal projects and series, which have been produced in different parts of the world. These projects have been shown at single and group exhibitions in Europe and abroad and have been published in well-known magazines.

From December 2019 until September 2020 the Weltmuseum, Vienna presented the exhibition Metamorphosis.Brazil 1998 with the series Earth from my river and Deforestation of the rainforest.

Her work is part of the collection Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, the  Daimler Art Collection, Banco Espirito Santo Collection, Portugal, Eric Franck Fine Arts, London, Bibliothèque National, Paris and private collectors.
